PRESS RELEASE

Phoenixville, PA - In July 2025, the Foxwynd Foundation DAF awarded a $60,000 grant to Phoenixville Area Community Services (PACS) to support their ongoing infrastructure construction.

Foxwynd’s $60,000 grant, and matching donations, will cover approximately 18% of the remaining funds required to complete the final phase of construction. The projects in Phase Three include the installation of two lifts, a new stairwell, exterior doors, and an overhead door; HVAC upgrades; window replacements; and the construction of staff offices, a kitchenette, a conference room, two bathrooms, and a trash room. Additionally, the PACS Market will undergo further expansion, while the warehouse will be both reconfigured and expanded.

“Foxwynd is honored to partner with PACS because of their proven dedication to the people of Phoenixville. This grant represents more than construction; it is about building resilience and hope for families facing food insecurity,” said David Bentley, President, Foxwynd Foundation

These infrastructure upgrades aim to optimize inventory movement, expand storage, and improve accessibility throughout the warehouse, while also enhancing safety and fostering a healthier, more supportive environment for staff and volunteers. This grant plays a crucial role in enabling PACS to finish their expansions in order to meet the rising demand for food assistance and to continue fulfilling its mission of providing dependable, compassionate support to those in need.

“With the demand for food assistance steadily rising, the support from Foxwynd arrives at a critical time,” says Mary Fuller, PACS President. “Their generosity will help bring us closer to finishing this vital project, and enable us to strengthen our ability to serve more individuals and families. Upgrading our infrastructure is essential to effectively respond to the growing challenges of food insecurity in our community.”

PACS aspires to be the lead resource for food insecurity in the community. The organization is dedicated to establishing a welcoming environment that eliminates the stigma associated with visiting a food pantry. Every day, the team diligently strives to cultivate a positive setting where every visitor perceives a trip to PACS as the highlight of their day.  Additionally, they offer nutritious food options to help their guests lead healthier, happier lives.
