PACS - Phoenixville Area Community Services

An important message from Phoenixville Fire Department PFD STATION 65!Most home heating fire deaths (86%) involved stationary or portable space heaters.

• Keep anything that can burn at least three-feet away from heating equipment, like the furnace, fireplace, wood stove, or portable space heater.

• Have a three-foot “kid-free zone” around open fires and space heaters.

• Remember to turn portable heaters off when leaving the room or going to bed.

• Never use an oven or stovetop to heat your home. If you need heating assistance, contact PACS - Phoenixville Area Community Services or visit www.dhs.pa.gov/citizens/heatingassistanceliheap/
