Since 1972, PACS has offered support, aid and hope for residents in our community who need information and direction as well as emergency aid.

While many long term residents know PACS and its tradition of service, we often find that others have never heard of PACS and are not familiar with who we can help and what we do.

PACS thanks our friends for their generous – and creative - support!

On behalf of Phoenixville area residents we serve, PACS is very grateful for all the support of this community, including gifts from the following:

Irish Joe’s Café and Friends - $1,255 donated from the Pasta 4 PACS event. What a turn out of friends from the Phoenixville area, feasting on a pasta dinner to benefit our neighbors who struggle to pay for life’s basic needs!

Forge Theatre – a $600 contribution from soft pretzels sold at the production of “1776”. How thoughtful of you to donate proceeds from the sale of pretzels to theatre patrons to support our mission in the community!

Actors from Forge Theatre – a compelling performance of interactive drama and laughs at PACS’ 2nd Annual Murder Mystery event. You engaged and delighted us with your superior talent and wit!

Green Sustainable Concept – a donation of fresh-picked weekly produce from a local CSA (Community Supported Agriculture). Your gift is providing nutritious, healthy vegetables to people who receive food from our emergency pantry!

Thanks to these donors – and many more – PACS is able to continue its mission connecting Phoenixville area residents with community resources and emergency assistance.

To all our donors: Whether your gifts are frequent or periodic, large or small, please know that we genuinely appreciate every donation as well as your thoughtfulness and caring. The families and individuals you help are moved by your generosity – and we are, too. We truly could not do it without you!!

The spirit of this wonderful community is a gift that keeps on giving!

With our appreciation,
The staff, board members and volunteers at PACS

Logo

To help us promote our work, and reach more who need our help, we sought help with a logo design. PACS needed an “image” that would be recognizable and distinctive. Lisa McGettigan, a Graphic Specialist in the Communications Department at Vanguard, created this logo. Lisa’s skill and creativity gave an “image” to our name, establishing a link to the acronym many in the community have come to know us by – “PACS.”

We are very grateful to Lisa and Vanguard for this wonderful donation!

Mission

Connect people in the Phoenixville area with community resources and emergency assistance.

What We Do

  • Connect people to the appropriate resources to meet their needs
  • Provide emergency food, housing, utilities, and health services
  • Assist people to achieve economic self-sufficiency
  • Link community asset with community needs

Did You Know?

  • Most people served by PACS are the "working poor". They work but their incomes aren't sufficient to provide all the basic needs like food, housing,  and utilities.
  • PACS gives out 3/4 ton each week.
  • An average 150 households receive food assistance each month.
  • Most people receive food only occasionally; when they are in extreme need.
  • PACS provided $90,747 in food last year. 84% of that was donated by the community.
  • In the previous fiscal year, PACS provided $35,472 for emergency heat, housing, medicine, electricity.
  • PACS connected more than 5,000 people with other aid organizations last year.
  • Without PACS, local governments would need to provide services at taxpayer expense.  Organizations like PACS are more efficient and economical.
